The reason for this is that there are many testimonies of people who decided NOT to pay their tithes and financial problems began to surface in their lives...what could be reason for this?

Please consider these...tithing was part of the Law.Christians are not under the Law... Others reason that tithing was done before the Law was established...but one could respond that "But so were many rituals like animal sacrifices".Abel gave an animal sacrifice to God before the Law.

How did tithing permeate the N.T. life even if the bible says:

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, but under grace.

Anyone is welcome to e-mail me if they want to.

(The main thing is not to find out if I believe in tithing or not...don't read too much on my words).

Simply answer the question using scriptures and testimonies.

I've never actually physically tracked it, but yes, it seems like every time I am late sending in our tithe we have some drastic financial setback, like last time the engine on our car melted.

Now, I would caution you against legalism, we shouldn't give tithes expecting the Lord to give us blessings back, we should tithe as a "thank you" to God, expecting nothing in return. It all came from Him to begin with, yes?

Yes...I tithed in 2005 and was blessed. Even though I didn't make much, every need was met.

I got a great job at the end of 2005 also. ANd I said "ok I will stop tithing now, as I got my dream job" Wow, what a mistake. The job went terrible! I was fired, miserable and depressed the whole time. Since I was let go early I made less in 2006 than ever and am in debt.

I have been tithing since December 2006 now. Off my unemployment check...I know G-d sees that sacrifice and will bless me with a great job. Little things have already begun...today a lady at church handed me $100 bill. She said G-d told her I needed it more than her. BLess the L-rd!

Bless u

You are not supposed to pay a tithe at at all. That is an Old Testament rule which has been cancelled by the cross. It is actually a sin to tithe because you are ignoring Christ and are focusing on "the old laws". If you want to give, go ahead and give, but don't tithe.

When I was a Christian I decided not to tithe because it always felt like I was doing it out of obligation, not from my heart. It really bugged me to see people filling out those envelopes and writing down their names with the amount they were giving on the front. It almost seemed like bragging or showing off. I decided that if I was going to give money to the church or to a charity, I would always do it anonymously and not because someone told me to. Anonymous donation is true giving from the heart that has no way of being tied in with ego, since there will be no one else to see that you gave it (except for God of course).

What you are referring to is a spiritual principle, and one of many timeless ones.
"Give, and it shall be given to you.. "(not just money)
"Turn the other cheek..." (let others have the upper hand)
"Why not rather LET yourself be cheated..( don't try to get even or go to court over everything)
"What a man sows, so shall he reap.." ( what comes around..well, you get my point)
Jesus said that not ONE jot or tittle shall pass from the law until ALL is fulfilled. Since ALL is not yet fulfilled, there law is in effect. Paul is referring to the law of SIN and Death, which are 2 more spiritual laws. These laws have benn triumphed over by Jesus, giving us liberty and life!

Luk 20:25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's. (You are the image bearer, ALL of you belongs to GOD, not just 1/10th!)
finally:
1Pe 2:17 Honour all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

we pay our tithing right here, each pay era. Tithing is defined as 10 %, so as that's what we pay. it is giving decrease back to the Lord what we've been blessed with, purely 10 %...we get to maintain ninety %. It would not bypass to pay for any ministers or very own salaries, using fact our church is volunteers, it is going for the improve of the dominion of God on earth, with homes and places of worship. I additionally donate extra each month for charity that helps victims of organic mess ups, impoverished countries and peoples, and individuals in my very own community who could be battling having sufficient nutrition to consume. it fairly is a stable thank you to stay, with a much less grasping outlook on existence, understanding that all and sundry we've is a blessing, and we could continually use our supplies to help others.

New Testament giving:

1Cr 16:2 Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

2Cr 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
