Because if we told the truth would you accept the mistress on the side and the countless times we've given in to infidelity? Thought not lol.

I think it's because they feel that their true selves are not worthy of being with that specific women or not...
If you think about it, most women wouldn't go for a guy if he was completely honest from the word get go...
Most women these days are impressed by certain aspects of a guy... His occupation, the car he drives, what his in to, etc etc...
Guys put up a front to get the girls attention! And come'on ladies, lets be honest... If guys were themselves from the beginning, we wouldn't even think twice about giving them a chance...
