I don't think you'll find too many jobs with the US Army on an Air Force Base... check with the Air Force for that one. Do some research and find out what kinds of units work on that base (or a nearby Army base, if you want the Army), and find out what kind of contract work such a unit might need. There are private sector civilian companies that support every fathomable and non-fathomable aspect of all branches of the military; every piece of equipment is either made or maintained by a civilian company. Training on how to use new equipment is often done by civilian contractors. High-level repair or maintenance on equipment and computers (if above the level of expertise of the end user) is always done by civilians. It all depends on what industry you work in, or have experience with. Look around and do some research.

If there is a security guard at the gate of the nearest base to you, ask them. Or, some companies do work for the military-on base-like some bases have a McDonalds on them. If you go thru a company that works on the base, that is one way to get on. Or, stop by a recruiter's office (don't sign anything) and ask them about it. Take care.

I currently work as a soldier on an AFB. I work with TONS of civilians. If you go to monster or a similar site and type the base you want to work at into Keywords, that should list all jobs. If that doesnt work, go to the welcome center outside the gate and ask them for info.

Im not 100% on this, but I believe they have been hiring civilian recruiters. You might check your local recruiting office.

Through the DOD (Department of Defense); I believe those jobs are listed on http://www.go-defense.com/ as well as the general job board for the US government.
