The point of having punishments for breaking the laws is to be a deterrent, right?
How are we supposed to find out the penalties for breaking the
law? The police do not believe that it is their job to explain the laws to you. Some law enforcement are encouraged to lie to you in order to get a confession.
I know if a speed limit sign said fine = $100 then I would be less likely to speed. If safety is really the goal of laws, then why are the penalties such a mystery? Informing the public would make the world a safer place.

a police officer that seems intelligent,
doesnt threaten me....and is helpful!
I didnt think there were any! many of your fellow officers are making you look bad and your job much harder.

no ARGOS, I can assure you that I was genuinely suprised that the fine was $190 for driving 65 on a 55mph highway. Especially when the speed limit was 65 on the other side of the town I had just gone through. I was not pretending.
