Spiritually.....music is the language of the soul.

Mentally....the brain can be in different states (alpha, beta, delta, etc.) The beat of music can cause the brain to move into a different state.

Music is everywhere. A running stream, a bird chirping, a leaf falling to the ground, the rain drops, etc. It connects us to our higher self. I wonder what deaf people consider music? Maybe a rainbow??+
