Maybe nothing. Remember in an infinite era, there is no such thing as "before a certain time". In other words, it wasn't like he was waiting to finally create the earth, otherwise that would establish a point of reference for time, and in an eternal state there is no reference to time.

I believe he has been creating other worlds. He could have been creating life on those other worlds and bringing salvation to them as well. Why would he, in the eternities that he has been in, not create others. He clearly recieves joy in seeing his children worship him, why not have more children on more worlds doing the exact same thing we're doing here?
And why would he have had to desert them? wouldn't an all powerful God be able to divide his attention between us and them without a problem? Maybe he has already separated the good and evil on those worlds and the good are dwelling with him in their own mansions in heaven.

What was he doing before he created Earth??? maybe planning... maybe being busy with stuff that doesn't concern us... what difference does it make?
As mortals, it is arrogant presumption on our part to think that God owes us an explanation of his activities. We can barely take care of ourselves, so why do we think that He has to justify or explain himself to us?
If you can't prevent yourself from succumbing to the law of gravity and other natural laws, why should a being who is exempt from these laws be subject to you?
So to answer your question... I don't know what He was doing before He created earth... but I can tell you this... when you are in a position to deserve an answer to the question, you'll get it... (check out the book of Job, Chapter 38)

God creates what ever he want. before , after or now. do you think that after the destruction of earth ,God will stop creating other things?
that's why you need to understand that before the creation of man, God created the angels, then the devils, then mankind. what was before or after , we don't know.
If there is another earth right now ? it could be.
then will God go die for their sins? how many times God has to die?
At the day of judgment when people will be in hellfire and others in heaven. will God stop creating?
I see that people have a limited thinking , closed minded, that's why they can't understand that God is powerful, God is one, God doesn't have to come and die for somebodies sin.
God says in the Quran < If he wanted to, he will destroy everything and creates other people like us who will worship him only...it's easy for him> God says in the Quran < If he wanted to guide all people he would do so, it'easy for him, but he gave everybody a will to chose >
we need to submit to God, this is our job. submission means Islam in arabic. it's easy.

Well, He created heaven long before He created earth. He also created Angels before the earth. who knows what else He has created? He doesn't reveal those things because perhaps we aren't capable of understanding much more than we do.

Creating other Galaxies....its a big universe.
Also creating heaven and angels. I think He was bored with angels, as they had no free will. He wanted to have friends by their own choice.

it incredibly is a query for the a while! while it is a few time you pass. That feels like a stupid reaction despite if it incredibly is authentic. we are okay here for despite reason. as quickly as we've fulfilled that reason or if we've been incredibly undesirable it incredibly is over. A motor vehicle crash working example means our time is over. it incredibly is my catholic upbringing i assume. it incredibly is a disgrace that sturdy human beings die. Your question isn't stupid. do certainly not say you're sorry for desirous to earnings greater awareness!

uh, How could anyone answer a question that we don't have the answer too? or do you think this is some fairy tale that we can add too and change as we want to? Some of us will get to ask Him when we see him, the rest won't

We don't know what He was doing, as the Bible doesn't say. It was not included so obviously not important to our knowing. But, God is self-fulfilled and complete, perfect and harmonious in every way in and of Himself. Whatever He was doing is not for us to know. I have a theory of my own, but it isn't Biblical and has no basis in fact.
