About a week ago, I had e-mailed an Air Force Recruiter about my interest in the Air Force. He had mailed me asking me to give him a number and time to call him back. However I fell into an exam week, and unable to get in touch till the weekend. I sent him an e-mail giving him what he required from me. Now my question, I have not got an confirmation e-mail from him saying he go my e-mail. Should I just wait for him to call me this thursday, or send him another e-mail asking if he got my other two e-mails?

Thanks

Bud, i'm in the air force ( delayed for now but leaving for bmt in the summer) and while i was doing things this summer, i call up my local recruiter and i left a message for him on his answering machine and to me, it seemed like a mighty long time for him to get back to me. But, then i realized that he is probably more busy than i was at the time. With meetings with other " potentials" enlisting people and plenty of different paperwork, he soon got back to me. And now, i'm in under his name. I wish you luck With the Air Force. just give your recruiter some time. he/she will soon get back to you.

The absolute best way to get a recruiter to be interested in you is to take the ASVAB test. High schools usually offer students the opportunity to take this test but if you can't go that route, any recruiting station of any branch can make the arrangements for you to take it. After you take the test and pass, just sit back and start taking the calls. Seriously, my son passed the test but did not score very high. He joined the Marines just after passing the test but that still didn't stop the Army recruiters from calling. I would tell them he was in boot camp for the Marines, but he would still get a call the next month. He even got a call from an Air Force recruiter halfway through his tour of duty in Iraq asking if he might be interested in taking the ASVAB again for the Air Force to see if he might score high enough to qualify for them to recruit him.

Actually, from what I recall, the Air Force has really strict requirements for recruiting because they fill all their slots pretty quick. I know when I was in AIT, the guys in my class that were Air Force were saying they'd stopped taking recruits at one point. Either way, though, man, just go down to the recruiting station and talk to any recruiter. Don't worry about that one guy, just go talk to any of them. And if they say that they can't offer you what you want, go talk to the Army, or the Navy, or the Marines, or the Coast Guard...whatever.

That surprises me becuase recruiters are usually very anxious to sign anyone up.

I'd just send him another email because he shouldn't get upset at all. I like to think that the recruiters need you more than you need them. He might be busy because their schedules are demanding.

But good luck in the Air Force!

Just take a trip to your local Air Force recruiting office. Its that simple. Forget all the emails and wondering if he'll email you back. You don't need to make an appointment to see a recruiter. It is a recruiter's wet dream for someone to just walk into their office.

Call him, e-mail him, whatever. Everyone else is right that he'll probably get a hold of you before you know it, but really if you are that anxious just contact him again. It's not gonna hurt your chances of getting in.

Seriously, what are you worried about? Do you think he's not going to get back to you? Give him a little time. Uncle Sam will still want you in a week.

This sounds like those questions in Yahoo! Singles. "We had sex and now he won't call me. Should I wait or should I call him?". Lordy. Just call the Recruiter for hell's sakes !!
