We tried Advantix with absolutely no luck at all. Following the vet's advice, we bathed our puppy and applied Advantage once she was dry, and to my amazement she was damn near flea free for a few days. Then tonight she wakes me up, obviously misserable, and sure enough, she's covered. I've spent about 30min picking off and squishng fleas the best I can, but I need to do something better. We plan to treat the house just as soon as we get the chance to, and at that point we'll treat her yet again, but until then...
Would it be OK to get a flea shampoo for puppies and use it on her periodically *prolly only once, since we'll be getting the house done in the next few days, come hell or high water* until we feel that investing in a fea treatment will work? I CAN"T figure why it isn't other than the house is infested. All the cats seem fine, though... I don't get it.

I know not to use dog stuff on cats. I may be relatively new at this, but I promise I'm not a complete moron. I'm so irritated with the flea thing and with both treatments we followed vet's orders to a T, but with the first there was never any success, and the second failed quickly. I guess calling the vet is the best option, so that number comes with us into town so we can pick it up without a second 1hour round trip *wow, the country life ROCKS... not*
Thank you. I'd feel a little better if I could just figure out why the stuff isn't working when our cats that haven't been treated in months are fine.
