the other nite we were talking on the phone till about 4 am ...she said that we've been talking alot and we know alot about eachother ... so we're pretty much bestfriends now... then she said that she's my bestfriend , but im not hers... becuase she doesnt wanna jinx nething considering she doesnt keep bestfriends long... or they usally loose contact with her for a long period of time... and she said she doesnt wanna loose me... does she like me more than a friend ? or should i just go with the flow and be her bestfriend b4 i try to be more??

This girl is definitely giving you the "come and get me" line.
There is this sort dynamic that happens in a relationship, a sort of critical point, where you're either going to be lovers or friends. Once you enter into that friend world, it's hard to recover and transition to the romantic world.
I think this girl knows that... so she's telling you that she's not seeing you entirely that way; I mean NOT merely as friends. She saying that she wants a possible romantic dimension. So she's leaving that possibilty open.
[On the other hand, maybe her past male friends tried to make a move on her - freaked her out - so they are no longer friends... not good for you if that is true. But I think finding love is worth the risk... don't you agree?]
Besides women in general want to be friends and lovers anyway. They have this Bizzaro World idea that that is possible... LOL.

I think that this person would tell you more often than once that you are a best friend. Trust me this girl likes you, she may be shy because she "actually went out on a limb" to tell you that you are her best friend. In her mind it took her a lot of balls to tell you that just to test your reaction. I feel that you should take it slowly and let her know that you want to be more than best friends. If she feels for you more than a "best friend" she will be your "girl friend", either way even if you get shot down she will still be your "best friend" Am I making sense?

That's an interesting question! I think she pretty much likes u! Just in case don't hang out w/her 2 much bcause best guy friends to a girl is just another girl 2 her, some1 to have a shoulder 2 cry on when their boy-friend dumps them!

By you being her best friend she probably means that you are the person who knows her the best and the person she can relate to and rely on. Doesn't necessarily mean she is in love with you or anything. Damn, guys always jump to such things whenever a girl gets chummy. Some guys need to get over themselves. I don't mean you, your handling it pretty well.
