I don't know if I would say "problems". It definitely affects the ecosystem, but this is a common condition - in any forest, no direct sunlight reaches the ground. All it means here is that the landscaping around a solar energy farm cannot require direct sunlight.

But this is only for a solar energy farm. Solar energy is being used in lits of places where there are already buildings. For instance, Walmart is looking into placing solar panels on its buildings, which already have big, flat roofs. This is actually good, since not only will they generate electricity, but any reduction in heat striking the buildings will be that much less air conditioning they need in summer.
