Should I file 1040 form if I pay property taxes?

what determines wether you use the 1040 or not is not property taxes but other variables instead. If you have investement properties or if the peoperty is your primary home is what determines wether you file the plain old 1040 and or another form.

If your itemized deductions are larger than the standard deduction, then you have to file a 1040 in order to itemize.
