No. I would get nervous. I'd be thinking, what the airline doesn't trust the pilots? Maybe I shouldn't either. And all the video would do is after a crash they could watch it and say, oh yeah. Here's the proof - they crashed.

It just sounds like an expensive idea that accomplishes nothing.

This would be a terrible idea! Reason number 1 is that the flight crew should not be watched during flight. Number 2, on almost every flight some small thing goes wrong and for those on the aircraft that aren't familiar with aircraft operation or with aviation (most of them) they may get panicked over the most insignificant thing. number 3, for the person that said if there is something wrong with the black box and flight data recorder, those boxes have never been broken in their existence!!!

it wouldnt make any difference except that you could see what was happening it isnt going to prevent anything. maybe have auto locking doors to the cockpit with a camera outside the door so you can see who is knocking but wht is the point of having the camera inside the cockpit?

I think this is a really good especially when it comes to public safety, i.e., if anything goes wrong on the plane the FAA can use the video to know what may or may not have gone wrong with the recorder and the black box. It can also be put on a sat. feed for air traffic to see what pilots see if they need to.

It wouldn't make me feel any safer than I already do when I fly. However, it would be interesting to watch the flight crew in action during take off and landing.
