I believe there is no true "evil" as most people define it. People want to pin "evil" on the "devil" but this negative aspect exists because God has given permission for it to exist. Negative must exist to balance the positive. Once we ascend to the pure, positive realms, duality ceases to exist.

As for Hell or the "lake of fire" ... these are symbolic terms used in the Bible and are not meant to be taken literally. They are merely states of consciousness.

Lake of Fire = The subconscious mind's area of repression, the "id"
The first resurrection = The reincarnation of advanced souls to Earth
The dead in judgment = Reincarnating souls
Hell = Remorse, self-condemnation, guilt and frustration

How true! Evil breeds on ignorance. The absence of ignorance is the death of evil. Upon death, the soul, which realizes its ignorance from the truth of its true essence will naturally past away while your true essence, the spirit, will emerge out and rejoin the spiritual world carrying wealth of knowledge and experiences of this lifetime. This can be experienced something like "crossing over the other side", " or approaching light in the end of the tunnel" and while you're into it you will also experience an altered state of consciousness where you become one with the rest.

So if Evil is the breeding ground of ignorance then hell, as Buddhist believes, is no other dimension but the physical world where ignorance begins and breeds evil.

My inner spirit tells me that after I die I go to the planet centaur which is made of strawberry shortcake and I can stuff my face with strawberry shortcake throughout eternity. INNER SPIRIT.............that's not a very good criterion for information about the other side. I would say that using my INNER SPIRIT as the foundation stone for what I believe about the afterlife is playing russian roulette with eternity. Everybodies inner spirit tells them something different. You need some eyewitness testimony from someone who's been to the other side and came back to talk about it. The best example I can think of is Jesus since He died on a cross and went to eternity and then rose from the dead and came back. You don't need INNER SPIRIT. You need divine revelation.
There are a lot of sources of revelation:The Bible, the Koran, the Baga-vegida, the Buddhist Bible and many others. Why do I think the bible is the correct one? Because the bible has the signature of God and I don't see that in the rest of them.
The Bible has the signature of God attached to it in many ways. One of those ways is Bible prophecy. The old testament has 333 prophecies about the first coming of Jesus Christ and 456 specific details about his life(all written between 400 and 2000 years before he was born). The 4 gospels in the new testament(Mathew, Mark, Luke & John) tell the story of jesus. Had those 4 gospel writers chosen to not write their gospels, we could still have re-created the whole life of Christ just from the old testament(all written before he was born). In fact, that is how the christians preached the gospel in the first 20-30 years after the death of Christ. They preached it from the old testament because the new testament had not yet been written. Man sees history like a person sees the Rose Parade sitting in the stands. The floats that have already gone by him are like the past. The floats in front of him are like the present. The floats still coming are like the future. These prophets in the old testament who wrote about Jesus Christ seemed to be able to see history the way you would see the Rose Parade from a helicopter. They seemed to be able to see the end from the beginning. That tells me that though they were writing these things down the info was not ultimately coming from them but from a higher source because man simply doesn't see history that way. Also, the bible has amazing knowledge about many scientific principals long before these principals were discovered. Seventeen times in the old testament the bible says that God is "stretching the heavens". For thousands of years bible scholar struggles with what that could possibly mean. Then in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding. The bible told us that long ago.
No other religion or Holy Book has this kind of knowledge. All this tells me that these prophets in both the old and new testament were not nutcases but true prophets of God.

living with mother-in-laws,
The Bible says it is a place of grinding teeth, fire and brimstone.
If I had to describe it by my life it is when I get sick often I have dreams of untangling rope, untangling 8 track tapes, or cassette tapes all of which are impossible tasks. Thank God I have not had that dream in a long time.
But if I had to tell you what hell is because I do know, it is a place of vast darkness where there is no floor you are floating in space with nobody near you and the darkness is pressing into you, and all your fears are coming to you at once. And when you see a person they are fearful or horrible looking, this is hell and America is not far from it now.
Hell and death were created for Lucifer, his angels, and all of the wonderful people that decide for whatever reason not to follow God's word (the Bible). This was the Kingdom all the people that reject God decide to go to.

We will all find out one day. I know that I will not go there as God has promised me. Not because I'm anything special.

But I actually do hope there is not a hell as many people describe and believe. I have trouble believing that. I think it will be a temporary thing that I wish on no one. But there will be an actual moment in time that everyone will know who God is, so I can't believe that those who do not prepare for life will simply die and know nothing.

Hell is in your head. Some ppl believe it will come in the afterlife. I think you make you own hell. This world is the closet thing to any form of hell that could be thought up. Depends on your existence.

A simple way to keep ignorant people in line.

WHAT IS HELL & WHERE IS HELL THAT JESUS WAS RESURRECTED FROM HELL?

Acts 17:31; 24:15; If people go to hell other than at Acts 2:27-31 as sepulchre hell, a cave, a grave, a tomb or a burial place, as there is a resurrection of the just and the unjust, then from Adam to the second coming of Christ, where is a torment hell?
Isa,26:19; Psm.104:29,30;

The angels that sinned before the flood, are in tartarus prison hell, but the resurrected Jesus went to visit them, so how can it be a bad place? Gen.6:2,4; Jude 6; 1Pet.3:18-20; 2Pet.2:4; Judges are the saints 1Cor.6:2,3;

hell for me would be stuck in eternity with Muzak playing the Carpenters and have nothing but Harlequin Romances available for reading material.

i consider "evil" to be natural animal instincts that have been so suppressed and sublimated by domesticity that the human psyche becomes twisted and deformed. for instance ... greed might be a malformation of the human animal's natural hoarding instinct. and since human sit atop the food chain invisible demons and devils have replaced wolves and cougars as the predators our survival instincts say exist and we must fear.

hell is here on Earth at the Acapulco rubbish dump
dead animals ,horrible stink continuously smoking ,fires all over the place ,poor people scavenging in the mist ,vultures in the sky and on the ground .
and it is a man made hell as all hells are

and you do not have to die to end up in either of these
its a choice,and an attitude.

Hell, or damnation as it is often referred, is the state of have no future progress. Regardless of the state of an individual in the here after, if as a result of his choices in this life, his forward progression is stopped in the eternities, it is damnation or a form of hell (just as it is here on earth only permanent (think about that).

Outer darkness, the place prepared for those who have committed unforgivable sin, well I am not sure what that state of existence will consist of but due to what is required to go there, I do not believe there will be many in that place which is commonly referred to as hell by many.
