I think you have to make decisions in life which will improve the quality of life you are going to have. The laziness may be due to your being disillusuioned with the education process that often produces graduates over and above to what the market needs, or it may just due to the way you see the world. Now I am not here to find the causes of that attitude. Whatever then the cause may be you should still consider education and take a sprinkling of courses in a variety of disciplines if you are not sure of the direction you want to take. The school doesn't have to be formal but the mind needs some sort of training if you want to be able to manage your life the way you see fit instead of working for somebody else at slave wages. The choice is yours.

You need to have a serious conversation with yourself!! You KNOW what your priorities should be, it is sometimes hard to push yourself to a goal that probably seems pretty far away, but you WILL DEFINITELY regret if you blow off school and wind up with no high school education, or are we talking college, which is getting to be more and more required by employers, even just a general business degree. Any hope of advancement or doing more than "just getting by " financially is going to require your attention and dedication now. You sound like a smart person, just give yourself a pep talk and know that you are going in the right direction for your (and hopefully your future family's) future(s) , so dig in and you will be so proud of yourself for being tenacious enough to realize that your future is important enough to fight for now. GOOD LUCK!!!

Not everyone has the same attitude about school and not everybody was made for it. I know how you feel. I was the same way, but I stuck it out because I knew that I would gain a lot from it and it would benefit my future. College was worse, but still..........I found the strength, inspiration and motivation to stick with it!!! Try to put yourself in that mindframe. Do you have friends that you love to hang out with at school? That should make it a bit more exciting. Join some clubs that interest you. Hang in there!! You'll be OK!

Since you know it's your future then do something! Get yourself up and go to school. Think, it's for your own good. Not unless you want to struggle for a living in the near future. Studying is not that bad, you get to learn more and make friends at the same time.

i had the same issue. i actually ended up changing schools because i realized it wasnt that i hated school i actually really liked learning the material it was just the setting i was in. once i transfered to my new school i started to go every day and i loved it. you can also try taking other classes that you seem more interested in. really just find something that will motivate you to go to school because i know not every student can transfer schools if they want. :)

Suck it up, that's what I'm doing.
I know it sounds harsh but that's what you really need to do.

If you feel like you are not ready AT ALL and you will just end up failing out, try waiting a year or so until you can get yourself motivated enough.
