See the power equation is changing very fast. It still has US at the top of the list but if US looks down then others who are just underneath him are not very friendly with US be it CHINA, Russia and now more countries joining in the nuclear club the situation is somewhat getting a bit undefined in power boundaries.

Whole of the muslim world is against US so if u foresee this thing u would notice that US is trying to keep Chinese attention diverted by installing a kind of fear by letting India grow its power as India has its own Boundaries issue with China. Then in this part of Asia, India can keep a check on Pakistan on which Us can never trus as they can go either way depending n there needs and the pressure that mounting on them from the fundamentalist .

Another threat and thats the biggest , which US has right now is of Asian economies growing fast especially Chinese. By signing Deal it will allow US companies to compete for the nuclear requirements of India which is massive given its size and the population. US knows that India has to find another source for its energy requirement and by signing this deal US wants to compete with Russia which obviously will be lining up for the same market.

For India this deal is a must to meet its requirement of the energy as population is growing day by day. For Us it has its merits which are two fold and hence US is keen on his pursuit of this deal

India would make a very powerful ally in the middle east. They have a half decent military, but what's more important is their location and what that would mean to the west if they were allowed to use India's airspace and ground to establish a base of operations in any future wars.

Does this make India a rogue nation?. Bush had signed a nuclear deal with them. At the same time, India is also negotiating a deal with Russia to develop stealth-bombers, and ballistic missiles. I don't understand why the U.S. should trust India.

we can deliver it back to US or Russia if its in the contract.yet instead of doing this we could attempt to introduce new techniques of recycling the nuclear waste and use it for different purposes.this way a super form of money could be saved alongside with averting any harm to the atmosphere.

Bush has to make a few billions before his term. They found a good dumping ground for their technology which is getting rusted in the backyard.
