I typically try and find common interest between us when i talk to girls that I find attractive. I.E. I would ask what activities their into, do they like to travel? Where have they been if they like to travel? Theres so many questions. Find a common ground. I'd start with music, daily activities (working out, school, work) if she works ask where she works, does she enjoy work ?. go from there.

Adapt to your environment...
If you see a girl on myspace, talk about something cool on her site...
If you meet a girl at a coffee shop, offer to buy her coffee and ask her how her day is going....
If you see a girl at a club ask her to dance....
If you see her at the park talk about the trees, or plants, or animals....
If you see a girl in a dentist office ask her if she likes her job....
Hopefully you see a pattern here....

What's her favorite music. What's the last movie she went to see, then discuss all kinds of movies. Keep it general. Get to know her really well first before you confide in her or anything. Because most girls are just going to blab it to their best friends.

Pick a subject you feel reasonably comfortable talking about, something you know a lot about. Ask her what she thinks about that thing or subject.
