You should uninstall any other antivirus programs you have already installed before you install a new antivirus software as they might clash and cause conflicts within each other. Many of these software have memory protection and will prevent you from installing any other similar software because they will violate the protection policies. Running two or more antivirus software will also dramatically slow down your computer performance as well.

I say KILL NORTONS.
Go to the add remove programs and get the whole thing out. I was running the best antivirus Nortons had to offer. Expensive too, but it didn't stop me from getting a virus and a trojan horse so I booted it out and got AVG.. No problems ever since.

you may get an alert on your new antivirus program sayin that another antivirus program is runnin(norton antivirus)..so it may ask you to disable it...if you want your new program to start protectin your computer

goto "add and remove programs" when you click on the start menu then scroll thru the list and find the one that you want to remove and remove it...
