This girl that I work with who's 21 & I'm 24 we are very close we both have a myspace account anyways my mom & sister saw her profile & pics & they said she is not the right girl for me bc they saw 1 picture of her that they didn't like & bc she has a few tattoos but they don't even know her bc she a wonderful personality & she is close with her family just like me.This girl has told me her darkest secret that when she was 13 she had cancer & I told her when I was 4 I had open heart surgery & that's Y she has those tattoos bc what she has been thru but I don't care what my family thinks bc her &I think we could make a great couple & I have learn u never judge a book by it's cover

I think my mom & sister are wrong about her bc my sister for 6yrs she dated this guy who was like a brother 2 me but he lied about having a job, he has a kid but refuse 2 pay for the child,he took money from his own family & he was doing drugs so what I'm trying 2 say that even tho we haven't dated yet but instead of judging her bc what u saw on the website means nothing when they get 2 know her they will lover her.

If you want to be with her then go for it, invite her over for dinner so your family can meet the real her. Have them all be absolutely honest with each other. Your family will learn to love her

It sounds like they are just being protective over you. I'd just sit them down and explain to her the amazing traits she has or maybe explain what the tattoo's mean if that eases their minds. I'm sorry you're going through this but my family is also the same way but the best thing I've ever done is sat down with them, knowing that they would love me no matter what, explained the good traits in the person and let them know you understand why they are acting the way they are acting because they love you but then also acknowledge to them that you're growing up and you've found great traits in her that you wish that they'd take time to see and maybe they will take time to see it. I really hope everything works out for you!

i feel your pain bro.
although ppl saying that it's your life, not theirs. but dont forget about the importance of the relationship between your family and your gf (or future wife). bc you want your family to respect and like your wife in the future, that way your wife will respect your family as well. otherwise, you will have be in a position where you have to choose either your family side or wife.
here is my suggestion. dont tell your gf that your family does not like her, yet. meantime, tell your family about your gf that how she is important to you and stuff. The more you talk about your gf to your family, the better and more knowing about your at your family member's point of view.
once your family members got to know more about her that she isnt bad beside the tatoos and stuff. they will start to change and your relationship will get better peacefully!

i agree with you totally. it is your life not theirs. if you like this girl then let fate run its course and continue seeing or talking to her. your family should not judge her because of a picture.
