Especally in Vermont. It is making child molesters from all over the country flee to Vermont, as they get probation.

This is one issue that makes me go ballistic. I cant stand the thoughts of a child being harmed in anyway especially molested. I say hang the bastards.

I would call your newspaper and tell them to do a story on it. Call your local news station, too. They will be able to find out all the details of individual cases and report it so the word gets out. Then when these judges and state prosecuting attorneys are up for re-election everyone will have already seen their record for keeping children safe and hopefully the state of Vermont will get some new blood in there. There could possibly be some new laws made by a public outcry and even some programs set up in schools for kids to be able to feel safe and talk about this. (Think of how many kids are going through this right now if you already know how many molesters are already caught) If more kids felt that they are not alone they just might come forward and start on the path to healing. Don't feel like you are only one person --- just ask the kids, it only takes one person to make a whole helluva change!! God bless!

Well this is a difficult question.. there are so many offenders out there that do not register with law enforcement to begin with. I personally think that if you are a child molester.. that you need to be branded or castrated.. something letting the innocents know you have committed a lewd act. I think it is called watchdog.net.. but just logging on to it and seeing how many convicted child molesters live close to schools make me sick. I know that if someone touched my child in that way.. it would be the last time they ever touched another one. Taking the innocents from a child is just sick.. especially when you can just go to a bar these days and get laid on the dance floor.. sorry this subject is very sensitive to me.

I don't know why the system SUCKS and is letting those sick people off the hook I think they all need to be locked up and never let out again!!! It makes me sick to even think about my children playing outside alone anymore because you just don't know what is going to happen and yet they say we can't protect them for ever well I am going to try my hardest that is for sure. Let them all die in jail if that is what happens fine at least they are not out there with MY KIDS OR YOURS!!! Ok my rant is over. Sorry not to actually answer this question I don't have a good answer for you.

I dont know but it is absolutley ludacris, this is one of the sickest crimes there are and it should be dealt with way more harshly, traumatizing a child that way ruins there whole life do people not realize this? If we could take the law into our own hands there would be alot less criminals in the world!

Because the law system sucks I live in Australia and it is the same here. I believe they should get life so everyday what they did to some little child gets done to them by some big scary guy.

because our "justice" system is polluted. those who commit lesser crimes get life. murderer's, rapist's, molester's, etc. just get a slap on the wrist. those who have committed far lesser crimes do years to life. i've asked myself the same question. in minnesota, i actually spent the night in jail for trying to get my child to do his homework and was charged with domestic abuse. go figure.
