No! It's expensive and most women over 30 have had metal in their mouth when they were pregnant. You and your baby will be fine. According to TV etc. almost everything is toxic. Don't get too nervous cuz stress doesn't help either. Just be happy and excited that you have a little life within you and pray. Good luck. See Ya!

The mercury is more "available" for absorbtion by your body while it's either being put in your teeth or being taken out. Leave it in there while pregnant, take it out later if you're really worried about it (for your next little baby). Very unlikely that the mercury will harm the baby. It's more dangerous to eat tunafish. Congrats!

No. The theory is that mercury in silver-amalgam fillings can be toxic, particularly to a fetus. But there have been careful studies done which show that the theory is not true: the mercury is too tightly bound to be a problem.

No. That is false info. Ignore the person who told you this. They are trying to frighten you and cause you a huge expense. Just think of all of the women who have had perfectly healthy babies despite having fillings in their mouths.

The thing to do is to wait before conceiving or till the 2nd trimester before seeking dental care.

No, your baby is important right now. He could get poisoned and end up mentally ill or be deformed.
