This girl that I work with who's 21 & I'm 24 we are very close we both have a myspace account anyways my mom & sister saw her profile & pics & they said she is not the right girl for me bc they saw 1 picture of her that they didn't like & bc she has a few tattoos but they don't even know her bc she a wonderful personality & she is close with her family just like me.This girl has told me her darkest secret that when she was 13 she had cancer & I told her when I was 4 I had open heart surgery & that's Y she has those tattoos bc what she has been thru but I don't care what my family thinks bc her & I could make a great couple & I have learn u never judge a book by it's cover

I think my mom & sister are wrong about her bc my sister for 6yrs she dated this guy who was like a brother 2 me but he lied about having a job, he has a kid but refuse 2 pay for the child,he took money from his own family & he was doing drugs so what I'm trying 2 say that even tho we haven't dated yet but instead of judging her bc what u saw on the website means nothing when they get 2 know her they will lover her.

It sounds like they are just being protective over you. I'd just sit them down and explain to her the amazing traits she has or maybe explain what the tattoo's mean if that eases their minds. I'm sorry you're going through this but my family is also the same way but the best thing I've ever done is sat down with them, knowing that they would love me no matter what, explained the good traits in the person and let them know you understand why they are acting the way they are acting because they love you but then also acknowledge to them that you're growing up and you've found great traits in her that you wish that they'd take time to see and maybe they will take time to see it. I really hope everything works out for you!

The earlier you let them know what decision YOU'VE made, the quicker your family will adjust. Realize that you are doing nothing wrong if you really feel a certain way. In the end, all anyone can rely on is what makes them happy.

Sugar, you're 24, live your life. She doesn't sound like a bad girl to me. My daughter is 21 and has several tattoos and piercing . . . . and she is a wonderful person!

well , i a sincere advice for you , u marry a girl to whom ur mom and sis selects for u , as she has to live with ur family after marrige, if she is not rigth person to u than no meaning to think of her.

you are 24, you dont need your mother or sister in your life
about who you date, if she someone that you like then that
all that matter. you right dont judge a book by it cover.
