Don't be worried. The other party is sueing you because you and your husband are the registered owners of the "other" vehicle involved. They DO NOT have any business relationship with your insurance carrier, that's how the court system works. As soon as your agent is available, give them a copy of the summons, and then relax. Your insurance carrier will defend you up to the limits of your policy. My guess is that the statute of limitations in your jurisdiction was about to run out, and that is why they are sueing at this time.

First thing to do is relax. Second, wait until tomorrow to contact the insurance company. You may have to go see an attorney who is expert in defendant's claims in accident cases, which may cost some money, but it is worth spending a few thousand if you're saving tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars the plaintiff's may be attempting to recover.

first off, just chill out. its the legal system. it works in months and years, not minutes and hours.
second, call them tom when theyre back
third, get your credit under control. you shouldnt have your computer or your internet if you are that far in debt. seriously, learn how to live on the cheap side of life.

don't worry........anyone can try to sue anyone.......but that doesn't mean anything.......the other party should go after your insurance company......not you.....maybe they lost the insurance information you gave them at the time & their ins.co. is bothering you..........make copy,s of all corospondence....send copy,s toyour ins.co. & call them......tell them your forwarding the letters to them........if they give you a hard time.....get a lawyer!
