i've been in this relationship for almost a year now. he is a great bf! but i haven't met his parents. should i demand for it or should i just wait for him to make any plans...

well it just so happened that he is pure chinese and im a filipina well for chinese culture they prefer of the same race as they are...im afraid that that is the reason why he can't intoduce me to his parents.. i love him so much!

don't force him. you may want to mention it casually, "hey honey, why havent i had the chance to meet your folks yet?" and see how he responds. he may jsut not be readyl, and if so, he will hopefully be ready in time, maybe with your support as well. or he may be embarrased by something, and if thats the case, its best to talk about that too. may be more settling for him to know what you are going into. and lastly, he may jsut not want you to meet his parents (hopefully not, but there is a chance).
i say jsut talk about it. and if hes met your parents, then hey.. its time to return the favour, especially after a year!

I'm sorry to tell you this, but it is not a "serious" relationship until he brings you home to meet "mommy", that is THE biggest step in any relationship--didn't you ever watch Seinfeld? They had quite a few episodes regarding relationships and the "steps" --meeting the parents was the first step in a "serious" relationship.
Do NOT ask to meet them, you will freak him out--, and he may withdraw--
Be patient, if you really care--- and does he talk about his parents? If he doesn't, then he may be sort of "estranged" from them and prefer not to let them know about his life--which is better for you and him all around--- no judgemental meeting!!

If you are not shy, just go ahead and tell him that you want to meet his parents. I did just that to my guy but then he seemed to ignore me. So i guessed, he's not really serious with me. Best of lucks to you!

i would tell him that you think its important you meet them... a year is a long time to be with someone without meeting the people whom he came from dont ya think? let him know that his parents are an important part of his life and they should be a part of your life too if you are to continue to date him... he should understand

Maybe he doesn't want you to meet his parents cause he is living 2 different live's and maybe he isn't who he says he is!

if u are like in middle skool then dont meet his 'rents
but if ur in high skool than tell him that u wanna meet them
