Long story short, my friends mom got me a number of a girl that works with her that she thinks that I should go out with. I gave my friends mom a picture of me and my friend in return gave me her number to call her.
What do I do when I call?
I know I should probably keep it short on the phone as to not make it too uncomfortable. I was thinking of maybe asking her if she wants to go out for a drink. I also thought it might be cool to ask her to go somewhere where we could maybe do something while/during after we drink like maybe go to Dave N busters etc?
Thoughts on if this is too much for just meeting someone or what I should say when I call her for the first time would help me a LOT. I've never been on a blind date or been hooked up like this before.

When you call make some small talk and ask her about hobbies,music,movies...then after you get comfortable after a couple of chats on the phone to her ask her out. Hey take a chance ..you never get anywhere just waiting and wondering...If it doesn't work out man..at least you know you gave it a shot.

When you call her try to make some type of joke about being set up. Then go for the drink idea. That way if you two aren't hitting it off you can both leave after that. If you make too much of a plan time wise and you don't hit it off you are kind of stuck with each other for a while.

Definitely keep it short. Introduce yourself, and ask if she'd like to go for a drink, and maybe afterward to an arcade/bowling/something fun. Then she can choose from those options.

maybe, just call her up and say that your mom's friend gave you her number and you just thought you should call her up and see if you guys could hang out some time...you guys go hang out, get a drink or whatever and see where that goes=p good luck!

Maybe u should just ask her out to the movies...a restaraunt,,,,,. and get to kno her better before u just start inivting her for drinks and all that stuff.
