You must be consistent with what ever punishment you choose. Try squirting her with a water bottle or hose. Every time she does it. Not just when you feel like it. Won't be long 2 weeks or so she will get it. Please no shock collars or hitting.

Hi Pooh_9836!!
Most dogs get noisy when exposed to anything new or unusual. Like most dog behavior, barking is typically a symptom of an unsatisfied need. Barking is simply a dog's means of communication, whether directed at other dogs, at members of the household, or at the world in general. It may be an attempt to stake out territory, or warn owners of intruders. Since dogs are social animals, it could be a symptom of loneliness and attempt to get attention- announcing to the unseen, but very audible early morning chorus of his peers that, "Yeah, I'm here, too."
There is some evidence that barking is an inherited trait: if the parents bark a lot, chances are their puppies will, too.
Often, one method that helps alleviate barking is to give your dog specific permission to bark. Teach it to "speak" -- let it "speak" when appropriate (say, when you're playing in the park). Then "no speak" follows from that. However, there is often a problem when the dog is alone.
The following methods outline some other possibilities to address this problem. Training the dog to stop barking on command can be accomplished with lure-reward techniques, disruption techniques, or head halter and leash training. Training a dog to be quiet on command allows it to continue to bark at stimuli but stop at your request.
Punishment is generally ineffective in the control and correction of barking problems. Excessive punishment can increase anxiety and further aggravate the problem, while insufficient punishment merely rewards the behavior by providing attention.
For punishment to be effective, barking must be disrupted at the instant it begins, using a technique or device that effectively interrupts the barking. When you are not present as barking begins, the only solution might be to use bark-activated products.

I had 2 dogs that did that, too. My dogs would even bark at the wind blowing. Yeah, this is true. SO...I decided to put them in training collars-you know, the ones that are humane safe, so that everytime they barked, they would hear this beeping noise. Well, the problem I had with these collars was that my dogs would bark and then turn in circles to see where the noise was coming from. So now, not only did I have annoying barking dogs, but now I had annoying barking dogs turning around in circles constantly. They looked pretty stupid as you saw them doing this. People would actually yell "look at those stupid dogs"! So, I went to the next level and actually bought the real thing. Real shock collars. After they wore these for one week, my dogs stopped barking at everything and anything and now will only bark if someone approaches the house. Now, my dogs look and act smart, and act like little angels. They are more of a joy to be around and I am proud to have them as mine.

why not try a barking collar, its stops some of the barking. its similar to a wireless fence collar, when the dog starts to bark it sends out a mild electrical shock and this coupled with a voice command works. the barking is not only frustrating to you but to your neighbors and the ppl walking the streets as well and its good that you recognize this...some ppl don't care if their dog causes problems and they ignore it until their neighbors get mad then it causes problems in the neighborhood. talk to your vet and ask them what the best way to take care of this is. i know most pet stores and even walmart carries these barkless collars.

I feel very sorry for you. the dog that lives at my dad's house does this all the time but my dad likes the dog barking and thinks it's funny but it's not! I think you should just get one of those antibarking collars or if you can't afford one of them see if you can just get citronella spray in a can and spray it near the dog but not directly on them. Hope this helps!
