The Twins Days Festival sponsors a $1,000 scholarship for twins who attend the annual festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. If you can't afford the trip, there is even a fund to help pay the way of some twins. For more information, refer to www.twinsdays.org. Some colleges have an even more lucrative offer. For example, Lake Erie College in Ohio, has a two for one offer for twins. One twin pays full price, and the second goes for free. Refer to www.lec.edu for more information or call 800-533-4996. And, George Washington University offers a deal for siblings (both twins and not). One sibling pays full price, and second gets a 50% discount. For more information, request an application and financial aid information at www.gwu.edu or by calling 800-222-6242. Check with other colleges to see if they have similar offers. Good luck (and good luck).

Currently, the best scholarships for twins are at the following institutions:

- Morris Brown College, Atlanta Georgia (waives tuition for one twin)
- Sterling College, Sterling, Kansas (each twin receives 1/2 off tuition)
- Notre Dame College, South Euclid, Ohio (second twin receives 1/2 off tuition)
- Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (each twin receives 45% off tuition)
- Lake Erie College, Painsville, Ohio (each twin receives 1/2 off tuition)

Twinsburg, Ohio holds an annual Twins Day Festival for families of these special multiples. This festival awards a $1,000 scholarship to a pair of twins to help with college expenses. The winning pair of twins must be seniors in high school and have attended and registered at least three of the last five festivals.

The Illinois Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs awards four scholarships each year, not to actual twins but the mothers or fathers of twin siblings who want to continue their own education in some way. The parents must be currently enrolled in an accredited two or four year college and provide proof of passing grades. In addition, parent candidates must provide a copy of Illinois residency as well as proof of twin birth certificates. Community service or memberships in a twin's club are additional requirements. Scholarships are typically $300 or $100.

Northwest Association Mother of Twins Clubs awards several scholarships per year to those candidates who qualify as a multiple birth and are looking to further their education. Once known as the Twin Scholarship Fund, it is now called the Shan Pynes Scholarship. Funding varies from year to year. The MOMS Scholarship (Making Opportunities for More Schooling) helps qualified moms of multiples who want to go back to school.

Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association distributes scholarships to members of the organization who qualify. Members must be active for two years, current in club dues and participate regularly in association activities. Twins or the mothers of twins are eligible. Funding can be used for tuition for schooling. Scholarships are typically given as one $500 award or two $250 awards.

College Scholarships for Twins
Lake Erie College in Ohio offers a full tuition scholarship, with a limit of up to eighteen hours in a semester, to the twin of a full-time enrolled student at the college. Basically, twins are receiving a two-for-one deal on tuition. Of course, the regular application process to Lake Erie College applies and both twins must be accepted.

Kelley School of Business at Indiana University offers the Layton Frazier McKinley Scholarship to twins with a preference given to identical twins. Twin students must have a 3.33 grade point average or higher with a first choice of accounting as their major at the school.

For female twins, Wilson College in Pennsylvania awards scholarships to one set of twins each year. Each twin will receive a scholarship for 45% of tuition with the caveat that they must be enrolled as a full-time student each semester. There are some restrictions about being able to combine the Twin Scholarship with other school-issued monetary awards. Twin scholarship recipients can renew this award each year granted that they maintain good academic standing.

Notre Dame College in Ohio has a special family plan when it comes to scholarships. The second twin will receive half off on tuition. Siblings must be full-time students in the undergraduate degree program and enrolled for at least twelve hours. Of course, normal application procedures and acceptance into the college applies.

No, you won't get a scholarship unless your an exceptional student, you don't sound like one no offense. They don't give out scholarships to just anyone.
