Look for a Panera Bread nearby. They make a sourdough bread bowl that is outstanding.

Do you mean a bowl that's made from bread? If that's what you're looking for then you buy a hard bread roll like brioche for example. You cut a small hole in the top and you scoop out the soft bread from the inside and the bread bowl is ready.

I've never actually seen a place to buy them. Just run over to your local bakery and buy a few small loaves. All you have to do is cut a hole in the middle and use your fingers to dig it out. Make sure if you are scraping some more insides out of the bread you don't go too deep and into the crust since it will weaken a bit from whatever you put in it.

If you can't buy them, pre-made, it's really easy to make your own, but you have to bake them to make them soup-ready.

Just buy round loaves of sourdough or other bread, cut off the tops, scoop out the centers, then brush the insides of the loaves with melted butter. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 mins till browned. This will seal them nicely and they are ready to use. You can also add garlic to the butter, for a different touch.

try Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table, Pier One or Cost Plus World Market they have some nice wicker bowls. Basically you can serve bread in anything as long as you line it with a clean cloth.

Anywhere they sell a sourdough round. Thinly slice the top off, grab clumps of bread out, fill with whatever and you're done! And save the clumps of bread for croutons or for dipping.

You can get one at your local supermarket. If they don't have one out for immediate sale, you can ask the Bakery for one. They will more than likely have one for immediate sale. If not, then they can make you one.

Good-luck and enjoy!

I doubt you can buy one. But all you need to do is buy a loaf and hollow it out.
