Yes, you'll need to try to keep her from scratching it untill you can take her to the vet. Like mentioned above is some cities there are 24 hour vet services, maybe you could give one a call long distance or not for the best on what to do for your dog... When you get to see one personally, they'll probably give you an antibiotic cream or pill.. Make sure to read the cautions on the cream, some of the creams arn't ment to be handled by anyone that maybe pregnant. Just keep it clean and no scratching, maybe some baby infant tylenol may reduce the pain swelling(this maynot be good depending on the size of your dog)... it will be painful if it turns into a large puss pocket.. good luck, and hope she gets better.

Just try and keep some ice on it, probably just a bad cut that made it swell, we did that for my dog and her swelling did go down a bit and the vet just gave her some medication and the swelling went away really quick, good luck

You can give a BABY Asprine ( no more than 1 a day for 3 days. to help the pain and swelling. Dog bites turn infectus if deep.. Other than that keep her calm and comfertable until you can get her to a vet

Call your vet they'll help over the phone. You won't sleep if you don't and thats why they get paid the big bucks. Ice for now if she will let you. Call Your VET!
