I am looking into putting some new speakers in my 06 Civic Hybrid. I want to spend about $250 a pair. The front are 6.5" 2 way speakers and the rear are 6.5" coaxial speakers.

Wondering what everyone thinks are the best speakers...I am fond of MB Quart, but also like Infinity Perfects and Polk's. JL makes the best subs known to man, but I don't know anything about their full range speakers.

Let me know your opinion!!

Thanks in advance!

It's up to your ear.
I've usually used MB Quart Q series, but at times they can be too bright. Check out these guys :

I've heard nothing but good things about CDT.

I am a Polk Audio enthusiast as well as Infinity- my HT consists of both. The thing I did not like about the Polk sub is the fact that the speaker is not replaceable should you ever blow it or want to upgrade it it. It has a huge rolled rubber surround that is part of the sub- no screws to replace it. The Infinity was nice too- but didn't offer the output I was looking for. I went with the JBL Studio Series, a 12" 650 watt sub I picked up new on E-bay for $650 ( slightly more $$ than both Polk and Infinity ). I also looked at HSU research and SVS- which are just slightly a little more but are known for their sub engineering. I would stick with JBL, HSU, or SVS. Happy thumping!

well, i'm glad to see your venturing out of cirut city and best buy. now let me say this. the Quarts will blow all of those away. however with that said, have you checked out the Boston Pro series? if you can hear them, they sound better then the quarts. however there more expensive. so see if you can hear them, then hit ebay. there worth the wait to hear.

oh, and if you think JL has the "best subs known to man" try checking out RE audio XXX, Boston G5, Pioneer 5000SPL, Imange Dynamics IDMAX, and about some others that i just dont have time to list/think of. shop around bud, thats the key to finding great car audio that you like.

good luck.

Hands down, Boston Acoustic are the best of those listed, then MB quartz, then JL. If you are considering any of these, then the others are a waste of your time.

Good Luck!

I buy the speakers that sound good to me an my ear..That is what you should do. Brand is almost unimportant since all the brands you list are all great. It is you and your ears that you have to please not the speaker company.
