When I was in China, I didn't see ANY stray cats, or cats at all for that matter, and only 2 dogs. I didn't see cat or dog on any menu but they seem to eat just about anything else. That doesn't mean they don't eat them at home or in non tourist areas. I'm gonna say it's not a myth very confidently.

In china....cats and dogs. Not in America, though. Though I do remeber a story years back about a restaurant being caught doing it here. Not sure if it was true, however.
Eating dogs is also big in Vietnam.

i dont know but i was a web site for filipino recipes and they had one for " Stewed Dog, Wedding Style" and my dad's filipino, so it don't have nothing to do wit being racist
