I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast them, one each day, because I am hoping to get as many different people to answer these questions as possible. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE BACK YOUR ANSWERS UP WITH REFERENCES TO SCRIPTURE, THOELOGICAL QUOTES, ETC. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it more as an interview.

Jesus took on the sin of the world. In a covenant each party has something to offer. We offer our sin up to Him and in return He gives us His eternal life. The sacrifice Jesus made covered every aspect of life. Sin, sickness, disease, poverty, etc... In times of illness, He is our healer, In times of weakness, He is our strength, In times of sin, He is our redeemer, In times of sadness, He is our joy.

(Galatians 3:13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(1Peter 2:24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

(Colossians 2:10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

What you mean is you want us all to do your homework for you...

The Blood of Christ was offered for the propitiation (payment in full) for our sins:
Hbr 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself
1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins

Christ offered His Body and Blood as a ONE TIME sacrifice, perpetuated through time by the same Bread and Wine which is ONE BREAD, and ONE CUP.

His life for our salvation. Read the accounts of the life, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament. Jesus is the holy, sinless Son of God. He didn't have to die. God demands perfection, sinless to gain Heaven. In the Old Testament people had to offer sacrifices, give, or give up things to attain forgiveness. But no one could go on without sinning. No one can be perfect and never sin. No one, except Jesus. God accepted Jesus sacrifice on our behalf to take away our sin. It takes something (someone) perfect and sinless to atone, take away, redeem, us from sin and damnation. Perfection deletes imperfection.Jesus. being holy, sinless, accomplished that for us. Jesus did nothing wrong and as God, didn't have to die. He could have stopped it at any time. But out of love for us, He permitted Himself to go through torment, pain, torture, crucifixion, death on our behalf. He didn't have to- He did it out of love for us. This was His sacrifice. What greater sacrifice is there than one give up his life for another...That's just what Jesus did.

In a nutshell, Christ fulfills Leviticus 17:11 for all time, for all who allow Him to. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul."

He offered himself with love for us. There is not bigger sacrifice than give your life for those who you love.
