Some people "answered" my question earlier, I guess, but what can one person or a small group do to stop this? Yes, you are right! 700 tons is too much to carry! It has to be hauled in and by the time you get it to the enemy, they've high tailed it to Dearborn ,Michigan. (Some "Bunker Buster" right?) Yes, it is 700 tons. Look it up on line. I just want to know, how can we stop this madness? I am not a "Chicken Little" as one person rudely commented. The govt. told westerners in Utah, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada (et. al.) that nuclear tests were safe 40 and 50 years ago and there is a whole generation of men who cannot father children here in the west. There were children that looked like monsters at birth, women with thyroid problems that could only come from radioactive poisoning, people who died from unusual illnesses that only result from nuclear bombs. This 700 ton blast will stir up all that old sand. Look it up at thespectrum.com and do a search on "Divine Strake."

It's kind of tough to get people worked up about a test that uses conventional explosives, no matter how large it is. The whole point of the test is to see how a nuclear bunker buster would function without actually using a nuclear warhead. So it's a bit of a compromise between readiness and opposition to nuclear tests. Compromise is a good thing, isn't it?

the arguement is that it will raise nuclear dust here in Nevada, obviously the protesters dont ever think about the wind(it gets real windy here in Vegas and dusty) and how much radioactive soil has already befallen on them

Sounds like you need to drink less coffee.

It appears that all you have to go on is speculation and some really bad science (". . .people who died from unusual illnesses that only result from nuclear bombs.).

Quit whining. We test weapons so that if and when we have to use them to defend ourselves we will know that they work! I hope we start testing nuclear weapons again. I miss the good old days !!
