New York is not expensive
London is expensive!
In New York salaries are high, and you can live as a prince (I lived in New York and my friends too
In London salaries are high also, but the cost of living is astronomical, and you live like a student (that's what I've seen with a lot of my friends)
Both places are enjoyable!!! They are great cities!!!
You better not end in a shitty expensive city, like Mexico City (big and expensive, but one of the worst places in the world to live)

New York City is worth the expense during the time you are experiencing it. When you're not experiencing it,it definitely feels like a waste of money. Especially with a 42% income tax rate. However, its like choosing to take your vacation in the Bahamas versus the West Texas desert. Some people enjoy one more than the other and obviously one is cheaper than the other. Which one do you choose and why? :)

I LOVE living in New York.... There is something different to do every single day. There is always so much excitement going on. It's great. And the opportunities in a big city are endless. So yes, it is more expensive to live here, but guess what, the salaries are bigger too! It all evens out. When I moved to NYC from Pennsylvania I more than doubled my salary and am able to live very nicely here.

I live just outside New York City and wish I could afford to live within the city, so many things to see, places to eat, things to do.
I feel the same about London, I've been there many times and loved it.

Some people like the city life...as for me I love it but I would never be able to afford it....at least living in a nice area

Tokyo.... i love the large cities to live in... ... more things to do and see... maybe expensive but you learn to save and use your money wisely
