I have long, thick hair and I use the classic CHI 1" flat iron. They make bigger ones but I like the 1" because it's easy to use and also because I have bangs, so I think the 2" would be too difficult to maneuver.

If you are not happy with the Sedu, then def try the Chi. I loved it, but I accidentally dropped it on the floor and broke it. Then someone told me about Sedu, and I ordered it and its what I use. I have to say if I were to choose, I would purchase the Chi, I like the results more.

I have long, thick and curly hair. I do not use a flat iron though. That will ruin your hair. A good large round boars head bristle hairbrush, a good straightening balm and a hair dryer works very well for me. Also, ironing your hair with your regular household irons works well too, but be very careful you don't burn yourself.

i have the same hair and i use the chi 1inch iron. it's best to use the 1 inch because you can concentrate on smaller sections getting it straighter. buy it off of ebay tho, i always do and save at least $40

I have hair like your. Mine is called Isinis Ceramix and it is a CHI hair straightener and its awesome. It didn't cost as much as some of the others and it works great. It was $85.99 including tax.

I would go to 'sedu' online at Folica.com, it's a new beauty line so the products are relatively inexpensive. for an amazing straigner you'll pay around $120, but it's a ceramic and tourmaline mix (therefore making it un-sratchable) and if something happens, they'll switch it out for you. I did free-lance work for them, good people, good products-- check it out : ] i posted the web-address if you want to check it out
