First of all I am not against china or any other countries, just wondering. Are the increase in pollution due to the fact that china people (which has the biggest population) are exchanging bicycles for motorbikes, cars and such?

I am here in China and the pollution is awesome in some cities. If India is the same, then the world has really increased it's pollution. That is from first hand observation.Yes a large part is due to the increase in internal combustion engines in cars.Of course all Chinese now want a car.and they are buying them. They are not rich so putting expensive extras on like catalytic converters is not popular.
Good question.Hope my info on it was helpful.

not only the deleloping countries but america is doing its bit to polute the world,
china on the other hand is trying to reduce fumes, electric motorcycles, free of road tax and registeration to encourage people to use them, police cars use small electric cars.

U.S.A. refused to sign an agreement reducing polution

Millions of tons of crap DAILY into the atmosphere is nothing to sneeze at. Pun intended.

We are screwing ourselves over for a buck.
Shooting ourselves in the herd.
Stepping on our own ducks.
Cutting off our nose to spite our finch.
Kicking ourselves in the aardvark.

We're ruining it for everybody and everything, and people who can't accept it are three fries short of a Happy Meal.
Have a nice day.
