I'm Jewish, and if you don't believe in afterlife, than you're not believing in Judaism. I dunno who told you that we don't, but they were wrong, sorry.

They have become as a populace very skeptical, except for the messianic jewish movement that has been taking place in the past 50 years. God has not and will not give up on His chosen, because He promised He would not.
Whe the whole world turns against them He will come to the rescue and utterly destroy their enemies. The jewish bible has the hope of the resurrection in it. You can ask where its found in the Tenach.

I like that...what's the point of religion if it you don't get the "Get Out of Death Free" card? The Jews do believe in an afterlife, just not in the same way as people of other faiths.

We do believe in an afterlife, but believe that we should focus on this life more so than on the afterlife. We worship G-d because He is our Creator and L-rd of all things--deserves to be worshiped, not because if we don't He'll send us to hell or something. Newsflash...He won't.

We do believe in an afterlife.
Those who say Judaism does not believe in an afterlife are either ignorant of their religion, or perhaps they practice reform Judaism, which bears little resemblance to authentic (Orthodox) Judaism.

Originally, a Jew was a member of the state of Judah during the period of the division of Israel into two nations: Judah and Israel. It became a common reference from the 8th century B.C. Today it is used of adherents of the Jewish religion.
Islam (1.2 billion adherents) is one of the major world religions that, along with Christianity (1.9 billion adherents) and Judaism (14 million adherents), teaches monotheism which is the doctrine that there is only one God in all existence. Like Christianity and Judaism, Islam traces its roots back to the patriarch Abraham (Gen. 12). The word "Islam" means "surrender" or "submission"1 and it comes from the root word "salem" which means "surrender." A Muslim (or Moslem - which means one who surrenders to God) is an adherent of Islam, a religion with precise theological doctrines about God, judgment, heaven, hell, angels, prophets, salvation, etc.

i always thought of it like joining the teamsters or the cio, it provides a lot of social advantages, great business contacts, a way of life to help teach your kids, etc. etc. now if you dad is an electrician and that is the way you go, then join the electrical workers of america to get hooked up and pay your dues etc. it is just a good practical solution to get on i life. i am a member of a big organization that helps me take care of myself and move up in life.

They most certainly do believe in an after life. Their "Father" Abraham was the father of faith , which is the evidence of things yet to be seen...Heaven
