Ok! There's this girl who i extremely adore. Im a very close friend of hers. I just came up with one of the greatest gift ideas that i can give to her. Here's the plan. She loves to play the piano and from what i have seen everytime i go over to her house, all she is stuck with are classical and holiday music sheets. She has limited resources since she is afraid of downloading anything on her computer. So what i have done for her is composed a giant binder filled with music sheets from numerous songs that are popular from top songs of the 80's, 90's, and today. I already have the music sheets, it took me awhile to find them all, lol. I'm going to print everything out, patch it up for her, and wrap it as a gift. Now the question is, I dont know of a good time to give it to her. We're not boyfriend/girlfriend (I wish). so I'm having second thoughts of giving it to her on valentines. Her b-day is in September still! I don't want to wait that long but if i do, it will be the perfect presen

Go ahead and give it to her for valentines day. I give my "just friends" valentines every year. she will love it that you remembered her.

What a nice person you are! Why wouldn't you give it to her on Valentine's Day....it is the perfect time. And so what if she gets the message you like her a lot....you do don't you? And if she's as nice a person as you, she will really appreciate all the thought you put into such a nice gift...yet it isn't so personal as to make her uncomfortable.

And since you obviously would like to have her for a girl friend...why are you so shy about approaching her...maybe do something next that is non-threatening....just friends...ask her to go have lunch or something. But give her the gift....just tell her you thought it was something she might like...she probably will!

Most girls wish there was someone who would put some much thought into a special gift. She is lucky to have you for a friend...and maybe she is wishing for more too.

piano man, i am 43 and in my life time, something so amazing like the thing that you have done for this girl has occurred 5 times for me, not once was it done on the (occasion V,B,Christ. Day) they were all surprises it just adds to the...............giving of your heart, it becomes unconditional giving, it's not done for purpose (the holiday is here so...........here) and it's non-threatening and there isn't any awkward feeling of........"oh, I didn't get him anything"
i was married for 21 years and my husband never did any thing remotely giving, now divorced---------i don't miss him because there was nothing to miss.
when your gift is ready that is the day, it then becomes the special day and no other two people will share your day, she will remember it all her life.
and don't ever stop or think you're too old to act in such a way, you are so far ahead of so many.
enjoy your day
the best to you both,
Bridget

Give it to her as soon as you are finished putting it together...believe me when I tell you women are so much more impressed with *no reason* presents then something on valentines day or her birthday...I think what you have done for her is incredibly sweet...and if she is a smart gal she will snatch you up....and if she doesn't...my e mail is.......hahahahaa :-) good luck to ya hun!!! xoxox
