Give your cat its own space. Get a small pet bed and put it on the bed with you at night. Put one of your recently worn shirts on it to make her feel more secure. It is okay to have the bed in the position she usually sleeps. You can move it further away from you as she gets used to the sleeping arrangement. Eventually, it can be on the floor.
n her opinion, You are the PET. She is caring for you as she would a child.Licking and biting is her way to make sure everything is okay. Cats are light sleepers. When you are sleeping, it is a very deep sleep. As you move in the night, she is concerned. if it was her, she would wake up and move, then lie back down and sleep. She also expects you to pet her each time you move.
by having the bed with your scent on it, it will help her sleep through the night.
What is going on is very normal. Having her sleep outside your room is causing her more stress. Which will make her even more protective over you.
it is not easy when your not in charge

This is normal alright. I have a cat that does the same thing thankfully not to me. Can't say I know of a cure, but I'd advise If it really bothers you not to let her sleep with you unless your awake and can control her, she may scratch you one day by accident and that'll really bite if it's on your face. All cat's have their own personality, you happen to have one that loves affection toward humans... I think that's better than the other way around but too much of a good thing ... well you know how that goes...

She loves you. Don't kick her out of the room. Lay down, about 20 or 30 minutes before you go to sleep. Let her get all of it out of her instead of her surprising you when you're already asleep (or groggy). She just wants all of your attention. If you lay down a little earlier, then she can get all of this balled up energy she has from you out of her. Maybe after her little kisses and nose taps, you can convince her that is is time to rest. If you try to lock her out, she is going to continue to scratch at the door and if you put her in another room, she is just going to cry. She won't do it all night long.......just let her get "her fix," and she will settle down. My cat plays the up side, around the head, under the cover, out from the cover game for about 15 minutes until she is tired and just gives up when I advocate what she's doing. I won't say that it will wear off; just consider it your time together.

Totally normal for some cats. Cat are nocturnal creatures (like to sleep during the day and be up at night). Try keeping her awake more during the day. Sounds like you'll have to teach her that your room is off limits especially at night. Try a spray bottle filled with water or putting her in her OWN room (or she;ll keep scratching at your door). She may scratch at the other door anyways, so be prepared. Make sure she has food, water and kitty litter. A few favourite toys will help. If all else fails, my friend uses a wire dog crate to keep her kitty confined to one area at night. She allergic to him so she doesn't want him in her bedroom. Hope this helps. Remember she LOVES you!

My cat does the same thing, I don't think it is a habit that can be broken. Especially if you've had her for such a long time and she's been doing it forever. I think it may have to do with being weened a bit too early. They want to constantly be laying on something warm-blooded and the little love bites may be she is looking to suckle.

frequently, there's a rationalization for the cat to purpose this. I agree that your cat is likely quite decrease than stress, and quite likely scared and wondered. last kitty in and slowly reintroducing him will likely help. The peeing is usually a demonstration of marking territory. in this new living homestead, now no longer some element smells "accepted" or "desirable". Cats hate replace and do not reply desirable to it. when we moved, I took the cats for visits previously than time to ease the transition. It helped yet they though were decrease than stress. restriction kitty to in reality one or 2 rooms for a time. provide help by potential of giving a tremendous variety of more effective powerful interest. sparkling the carpet desirable the region she pooped and have a glance into to get rid of the scent. you are able to also get a product stated as Feliway (spray) this is meant to help with stress. Homeopet also make a product for stress. The vet can easily have yet another options. pass away kitty contained interior the room for per danger a week. Then, very slowly, reintroduce him. The room will function his guard area. in reality take him into the various rooms for a short era of time for a lengthy time period. make positive you're with him and delivers very a lot and many more effective powerful interest or perchance play time or treats. this can help him and delivers him a adventure of secure practices. with somewhat of success it is going to also coach him that the nice and comfortable living homestead delivers sturdy themes for him. once you're affected guy or lady, i quite imagine it will be ok. perfect needs

I have a puppy that does the same thing but I know why, she likes to be by something warm but I put some old sheets and blankets on the floor and put her on them and I think she liked it because she went right to sleep but sometimes she jumps in the bed with me still though but I reallly don't mind.

Try playing with her alot before bedtime so that she is so tired she will sleep. After doing this she will adjust and start sleeping with you at night instead of wanting attention/play.
