Advocating the use of Fluorescent light bulbs, which cut down on electricity, is one; labeling the town Storm Drains to remind people not to dispose of waste in them is another. Recycling old bicycles to send to 3rd world countries where they would be used is also a good activity....

Please share your ideas so we can make school environmental clubs more effective in taking direct action and educating people about how to live a more “green” lifestyle.

Get a composter and begin composting from the student's litterless lunches.

Take some younger kids and teach them what you know. Go out and clean up an area in the neighborhood that has trash allover. and get before and after shots and get them in the local news paper. saying "See how nice this looks and explain how you did it and why and stuff.

Picket at a factory that pollutes. Millions of tons of crap DAILY into the atmosphere is nothing to sneeze at. Pun intended.

We are screwing ourselves over for a buck.
Shooting ourselves in the herd.
Stepping on our own ducks.
Cutting off our nose to spite our finch.
Kicking ourselves in the aardvark.

We're ruining it for everybody and everything, and people who can't accept it are three fries short of a Happy Meal.

Youth Conservation Corp. do volunteer projects in your area to make it greener. There are environmental volunteer programs all over the place.
