Some Bus Drivers are rude & very rotten , but some are not. My husband works for the bus company & he said file a report with the company & write up the driver. The company must know how the customers are being treated . He said after the driver is written up he is given a warning first offense

If you are in school and taking the school bus, then most likely you are stuck. They charge these people for keeping you safe, not to be nice. You could make a complaint to your school principal, but the bus driver can and probably will say that you were distracting him or her, putting the other students lives in danger. More often than not they will side with the bus driver, so you have to bear it until you or a friend can drive! If it is the city bus, then it's usually the same thing. Bus drivers have an easy out unfortunately. I think a lot of bus drivers take a class in rudeness! (Don't think I'm knocking busdrivers out there!) It is an extremely important job, and at some point or another, we leave our lives or the lives of our children in your hands! But just like in any business or job, there's some that seem to really be pissed at the world!!!

I'm afraid you're not giving us the full details here. What was this driver's outburst in response to? And don't give us the old "Nothing at all" line. SOMETHING happened to set the driver off. He/she may have had a bad day and was in a foul mood, and that's no excuse for rude behavior. But there's usually more to the story than we are told. So I'd have to know what ELSE happened before casting judgement on the driver and possibly advising something that'd be totally inappropriate.

The first time I ever rode a bus in my town, the bus driver told me to shut up and sit down or he would have me arrested. I thought that was kinda rude, but I complied.

Totally agree with bubbyl. Must know the 2 sides of the story. Might be the bus driver was having a bad headache and the chattering irritated him/her,

When I was in elementary school we had a verbally abusive driver. He called us retards, bastards, etc. Bear in mind I am positive that we were acting up but being the smart A that I am I took matters into my own hands. I brought in my (then cool now a piece of crap) talk boy and recorded him yelling at us and it was a particularly good day to record him he was off his seat screaming at us. Lets just say when I got home I gave it to my mom and he doesn't drive school buses anymore.

First ask yourself this
Were you distracting him from being able to safely drive?
Were you breaking the rule of no talking?
How would you have reacted if you were him? Would you have yelled also?
Are you just embarrassed and making a big deal out of nothing?
If not go to the bus company and file a complaint.
If he did have just cause.................
Just sit down and SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note the bus route, time of day, and drivers' name. Report to the transit authority.

What were you doing to have the driver tell you guys to "shut up" in the first place?
That's what I want to know.
