If this is the case, Yes they will need to do the surgery, before it ruptures... There is always things that could go wrong, but today with the arthroscopic surgery it is not as bad as it used to be. If it ruptures and gangrene sets in this really would be bad not only for the baby, but for you as well.
Good luck.
God Bless.

All I know is that is what the doctors thought that I had, and it was painful as hell, but it was appendicitis. They said if I had had appendicitis it could be deadly if not treated due to all the bad bacteria in the body. I later found out that it can be deadly if not treated, so it seems to me that it could harm the baby if it goes untreated. Perhaps you may have to have a premature baby, but don't take my word on it. Ask your doctor about it, and if it means that you will have to have an early pregnancy.

All precautions will be taken to ensure the life of your unborn baby. Wait until the ultra-sound and go with it. You cannot put off appendicitis, if deemed necessary they will need to remove it or you could have major infection that could jeopardize your life as well as that of your baby. I am quite sure that the doctor treating you for this illness will be in contact with your OBGYN. Good Luck and God Bless you and your baby.

Appendicitis can be life threatening if not operated on. Hopefully it won't affect the pregnancy, but if you have appendicitis you have no choice but to go ahead with the appendectomy.
