i use concealor to cover up my acne scars. i use maybelline pure concealor (under $5 at drugstores, walmart, target, etc.) cuz it blends and covers well but has salicylic acid so i wont get anymore pimples on that spot.
i also use queen helene's mint julep masque ($3 at drugstores, target, walmart, etc.) once every two days. it evens ur skintones and stops acne and blackheads from forming. so there would be no way u could get anymore acne marks since there's no more acne. this is a very popular and well-loved product that has been around forever.
i also strongly believe that clean and clear cooling daily pore toner ($4 at drugstore, target, walmart, etc.) works unbelievably well for the skin. i recommended this product to a lot of my friends and people online and they all love it.
do not use an astringent because it is wayyy too drying for ANY type of skin. for oily skin, it would strip away every single oil including natural oil so the skin produces more oil than necessary. too bad i didn't noe this sooner. i used astringents for years until i figure out why exactly my skin was always dry after i washed and toned my face. so now i switched to toners only.
keep washing, toning, and moisturizing (make sure everything is oil-free!!) morning AND night!
and wash ur pillowcase, towels, washcloth, etc. regularly (preferably weekly)!
good luck! this works for me and hopefully it will work for u too! :]

If you have serious scarring from previous bouts with acne, there are some things you can do. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing, which can be done in the doctor's or dermatologist's office. The laser removes the damaged top layer of skin and tightens the middle layer, leaving skin smoother. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. The doctor will try to lessen any pain by first numbing the skin with local anesthesia. It usually takes between 3 and 10 days for the skin to heal completely.
Another method for treating acne scarring is dermabrasion, which uses a rotating wire brush or spinning diamond instrument to wear down the surface of the skin. As the skin heals, a new, smoother layer replaces the abraded skin. It may take a bit longer for skin to heal using dermabrasion - usually between 10 days and 3 weeks.

There's this thing called Scarguard Lightener that I use. It's really strong and actually dries out and lightens any dark acne marks. I originally intended to use it for small sunspots on my face and it worked so well that I applied it for this use. Also, I think someone mentioned Mint Julep Masque. That's very good too. If I have a pimple that's starting, I usually put a spot of the masque on the pimple overnight it goes away without marks.

I don't generally get acne, but when I do after they go away a red mark is their for like a month. It looks like a scar and it always scares me every time I have a little red mark, but it eventually goes away. But if that isn't how it works for you just get some liquid base foundation a shade lighter than your normal tone and apply, then do your normal make-up routine over that.

i find that neosporin helps heal them faster if they are fresh, mine go away in 2 days using that, but im a picker ugh. its hard to conceal the marks, so less is better especially if the skin is peeling, keep it hydrated with a moisturizer. there are also acne scar masks that work pretty good too, you can get it for like 8 bucks, i beleive the one i use is neutrogena
