Why would you want to visit a Country that has a lot of violence going on to date, People from other Countries are not safe over there, even their own people are always fearing for their life. There is no JUSTICE! in Mexico they do not even catch the Drug Lords that are terrorizing families whose husbands, Fathers, or siblings used to be involved with Drug smuggling. I live just across the Border with Mexico and a lot of people who live here have had sons, Brothers, and Fathers, being kidnapped and never seen again. Would my Family or neighbors visit MX., No, we won't. If you do decide to go visit Chiapas, BEWARE, because you do not know what would happen over there to those who dare to enter.

Yes there are a number of roads into Chiapas. Chiapas is a wonderfull place to visit, I've just returned from Chiapas in November and loved it. You will enjoy yourself!!!!!!!!!!

My guess is that you should get a Mexican Visa.
