These days many have gone digital and can record all the time. Smaller stores generally only record for 24 hours then rerecord on the same tapes.

yes the cameras at the grocery store always record what is going on. Did you steal someone mate?
If you are trying to find out who dinged your car you might want to check with them soon. I don't know how long they keep the tapes before recording over them

Unless someone didn't load a tape or start it up, they should.

yes, but no one is ever watching the tapes...its just to boring!!! there are there more as an deterrent...
