Most people take the rose coloured glasses off after they have got to know someone and the magic is gone. It is normal.
I met this guy when I was 18 and his lips were so soft. I deliberatly went to where he worked all the time (a hardware store) which was really hard to think of excuses to need. We got together, and within a month were talking about getting married. Then I just woke up one day, looked at him and his parents and thought. I don't want my life to be this. It wasn't him. He was always the same. I broke his heart, but it was better than staying with someone that couldn't make me happy.

oh i've done that many times. luuuust, not love!! that always happens when you think they are so hot, and seem so cool, but once you get to talkto them realize they have nothing good to say and are maybe even boring.
that right there can turn you off of someone. which happend to me
but, there was also once where i just kept liking them, the idea that i didnt really like them, just enjoyed lusting after them, made it fun.
the biggest let down is when you realize they are either boring, rude, too confident, or maybe even ignore you completly.
anyways, hope this helps a bit!

i moved to two states to be closer to him. then i got a great job as an asst.mngr. at a bank, i got my first car financed, me and my best friend moved into a great apt. together, i made like 3 best friends in that city, and i was getting good credit card offers. well, he asked me to move with him. i did instantly because i loved him. so i lost everything to be with him. after 11 mnths, he says hey it's not working out. i leave pregnant. and he wasn't there through any of the pregnancy, or the birth, he's spent one week with our 9 mnth old son since he was born. to me, i had to think twice. because my #1 person now is my son Noah*

well that's b/c we put unrealistic exepectations on other people and forget that their human, just like us. The entertainment industry depics a fantasy type of love which we as a culture have developed into that way of thinking. We all want to experience the kind of love or relationships that we see on TV. But what we see on TV is just a fantasy and a false idea of what they portray love to be, for the most part. That's where we probably get a lot of our expectations...from a false character or fantasy world.

really good question! that's my situation right now..i totally got all crazy about this really cute, hot, and just so perfect guy! and then i found out that he likes me too! i got all soo madly crazy that i couldn't even sleep. but now that we told each other how we feel that we both like each other..it seems like..i don't get the same feeling as before, it seems like..my like for him is starting to fade away..but believe me..i really don't like this to happen..you know taking away all the fun, excitements, and weird/crazy feeling! It feels really good..... actually i started not to like him anymore because i realized that he can't be trusted at all..he ruined my friendship with someone i love as a friend....and when i look into his eyes..all i can think of is that he betrayed me....

There was this guy named Cody that I met at camp. He was really cute and really funny and I just was absolutely CRAZY about him. I thought he was the greatest person alive.
Then we went into middle school and I go to see just how great he was. He was in all of the extra help classes [for the students who just can't keep up] and he just wasn't smart AT ALL. I mean, he was nice and all, but the fact that he needed help in school with EVERYTHING was really disappointing.

yes i did. i totally had this huge crush with the guy since highschool and because i wanted him i tried to show how i care about him and i got so nice to him that i'd do all the favors he could ask. until he courted me and yeah, we finally dated. but when the relationship went longer, i realized that he wasn't really the guy who i think he was. been kept thinking that i've wasted alot of my time and opportunities because of him. now, i'm convincing myself that it's time to break it up and let go of him. 'coz it's not working anymore.
