How much should I charge for one 5 x 7 photograph? I do have a very nice camera and lighting plus a backdrop so they will look pretty professional.

well you want to make it affordable while still making a profit, so i would say between 7.99 and 9.99. people expect to pay at least this much for pictures a la carte. you do a good job? never short change yourself. also factor in how much paper and ink you will be using. you want to cover that cost and make a profit, but not turn people away because your price is high. make it seem like they can afford it. many are willing to part with 10 dollars, but if you ask them to break a 20, they might not purchase.

I'd say at least $10. I was at a mini-golf place at at tourist town back in the summer and they were charging $10 for a much less professional photograph than you are talking about making. I have thought about doing event photography with something like a Sony Snaplab printer and the $10 figure fit the business model well for my market.

Are you going to put it in those nice black paper frames that most photographers put the pictures in? I mean you dont have to do it but it makes people like it more.

5X7 think how much it will cost you to print, are the people paying you for your time too? If they arent then I charge $15-20. If they are $10-15 so you will at least make some profit off your pictures.

Are you any good? Do you have a talent or a vision? If so, I would say charge them $20.

The cruise ship charged me $10 for a picture of me deboarding the ship in Belize. It was nothing but a snapshot.

Remember, you are capturing a very special moment, if your resulting image is not special, just give it to them. If you are proud of what you have produced...$20.00...
