I believe in God but I am always curious and searching. I want to be comfortable with my choice since this is a such sensitive subject. My conclusion for myself is religions are man made. There are so many things contradicting in religions I think that it can't be a work of God. I think it was just a way for people to control people in the old times. So many rules and stuff, and since this is such a mystery it worked for them. Religion is like politics. It's always been and still is to this day used to achieve power by people. If religions are so holy, why are they thrown around like it was nothing? Nothing holy about starting a WAR to get a piece of land! (The holy wars..)

Now, God exists. I know for sure. Not everyone will agree with me. But not a lot of things in the religious books make sense.

I am Christian, and I admit, religion is manmade. We take the truth and obscure it by generations of traditions. However, the core beleifs, such as Jesus, remain unchanged.

The way bible teaches is that, if mans religion can not stand a test of truth, then that mans religion is man made, an his religion is vain.

Religion is in fact man made, but Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is truth. There is a lot of religion in Christianity. That’s why we have so many different denominations. People read their own ideas into the truth of God’s Word. What people need to do is to not take man’s word for it, and study it for themselves, but most are too lazy to do that.

The bottom line, though, is John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Of course religions are man made, but I wonder what religions you are referring to....there are many wonderful spiritual paths that have nothing to do with xtianity, judaism or islam. I think you might enjoy learning about the many facets of paganism....which has no "books" or dogma, supports science, believes women are blessed (not evil) and allows freedom of expression from all of it's branches and members.

That's right, RELIGION is man made. However what God wants is not religion, He wants a relationship, and the only way to have a relationship with God is through His Son Jesus Christ (who is the way, the truth and the life).

The only truth that is real is Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. I see similar questions talking about religion. Religion is not a relationship with Christ. It has nothing to do with it.
