Did you ever notice that when you are sick, you will feel hot one minute and cold the next? This is because the germs can only live in a certain temperature, and your body is trying to weaken them.
Your dog has a higher temperature then humans, and most people germs can't live in a dog for this reason.
When you dog acts like it has the flu, it could have parvo. Get it checked out by a vet as soon as possible.
Another possibility if your dog acts sick, is maybe the food didn't agree with it.

Flu viruses more commonly do not mutate and soar to humans. Just a few have, and they've made headlines in the type of pandemics (the bird Flu originated from a hen, and the three other pandemics of the 1900's have been from animals comparable to birds and pigs). Very infrequent. I'd say no. However bacterial infections, like pneumonia, can also be handed alongside. My 2 kids and my CAT have been all on antibiotics at the same time (yes, my cat was burning up with a fever and unwell with pneumonia).

If your dog is acting like it has the flu get it to the vet asap, we thought our puppy had just caught our daughters flu and it turns out they can't, our puppy ended up dying from parvo, it's a very serious disease that looks like the flu, they puke, lay around, don't eat or drink, and they don't get better with out a vets help.....so if your dog is sick, run with it, the first 72 hours of this disease kills most dogs even with a vets help at the very early stages of it.

yes you can, last year my whole house was sick with the flu and I mean sick. then after everyone got better my dog got sick. Took him to the vet and explained to my vet what we all had and yes your dog can catch the flu, it is not the same flu but close to it. Any Vet will tell you anything is possible and yes dogs can catch the flu

most flu virus's cant be passed from species to species. So no not likely to give your dog the flu and vice versa, but there is something a dog can give you easily and thats Strep and Staph infections. IF you are prone to Strep infections like strep throat, dogs carry this naturally in there mouths and body and can easily pass this to you when your immunes system is low.

No. Viral diseases like the flu, colds, etc., are species-specific and will not transfer between a human and a dog. For the same reason, you could not get kennel cough or parvo. (Thank goodness!)

Unlikely - Influenza or the flu and other viruses that affect humans are usually human specific ( i.e they do not spead to other animals ). but bear in mind viruses do mutate and if they do cross species transfer may occur. But again this is very unlikely.
