One of the cardinal truths of the Christian faith is to believe in the the one Triune God. God is three persons in one - a mystery that I can't explain. the Bible tells us about it by fencing that truth but does not give much explanation other than the fact that there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. If somone does not believe in the teaching of the Trinity, they are not a Christian by definition, Baptist or whatever denomination.
See point number 3. of my reference - a document that was hammered out by the church due to the reformation.

Yes, we believe in the trinity in the Baptist church. We also believe that we are saved by the grace of God, see Ephesians 2:8-9. We believe that man is the head of the home and that as women we are to be submissive to our husbands, that homosexuality is an abomination, that marriage is between one man and one women, that abortion is murder, and that we believe that God's word does not change. I could go on and on, but then the atheists might convert.

Let me see ... what do I believe. I believe there is a Supreme Being known as God. I believe this Supreme Being known as God to have a Son whose name is Jesus. I believe this Supreme Being known as God will give to me His Spirit when I ask for it and seek it and knock on the door continuously.
I believe that there are persons working together to become a team of One, in the afore mentioned paragraph. (The United States Army uses this slogan; "An Army of One" Even though many persons are involved). I believe that I myself have died to seeking out materialistic and monetary gain. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, "NOT GOD!", and that he walked on this earth as flesh. I believe that by God's Spirit in Jesus allowed the Father to display who and what He is.
I use to go to a Baptist Church. I now attend a/an International Christian Fellowship which could be considered a church, but is looked at more as a House of the Lord's.

the trinity is easiest for me to understand as Father(God in heaven) SON(God on earth) HOLY SPIRIT (God within us) at the time of conversion we recieve the indwelling of the holy spirit.(not to be confused by the baptism of the holy spirit)--each of these aspects of God have a purpose separate of each other but at the same time they work together as the Godhead.
