I have a hair straightning cream from Pantene that really helps with frizzeness. And if you just want soft and silky hair get the conditioner from Tresemme. It works really well!

I have long curly hair too. I use a combination of products: Dove gel, a little bit of Frizz Ease "Secret weapon" (too much and you'll look greasy), and a little bit of Extra strength Frizz Ease hair serum. I mix it all together and put it all through my hair, comb it and let it dry. I have found that sitting still (when possible) while my hair dries makes a huge difference. There is a lot less frizz and all I have to do is run my fingers through it and I get soft curls instead of tangles and snarls.
Probably your ceramic iron is fine, you may want to invest in some of the serums specifically made for straightening. I use Frizz Ease serum and it works ok, but I think there are better options out there.

i have relaxer in my hair and it keeps my hair straight.i used to have thick coarse hair but my mom always braided so i didnt matter.she finally put a relaxer in my hair which keeps my hair straight and i wrap it at night so it will be straight in the morning.my sisters hair on the other hand has a relaxer and her hair is still kinda bushy but not as much as it used to be but she has a lot more hair than i do. hers is a lot thicker. i'm not saying that a relaxer will work but it will definetly keep it straighter.i would also suggest trying out different kinds of hair lotions.setting lotions will probably help with the friz u have after u flat iron it.just put it on right before u flat iron it.i usually spray each individual piece as i flat iron so it wont dry before i get to that part.& dont soak ur hair in it and then flat iron b/c if u hear ur flat iron sizzle that probably means that that piece is gonna be hard.i really hope this helps:)

I used to have the same problem. I used easy straight which I got for about $30. IT worked good. From then on I used Herbal Essences Dangerously Staright, Body Envy, and the orange one, and a ceramic iron, for $25 avalible at any cvs or duane reade, it says remmingtton i blieve or something, but it handles, damp, wet or dry hair
and the sunsilk straight hair thing. It worked and my hair is really smooth and non-frizzy

I think you should get your hair straightened. It really helps and it looks good to. For even thinner and less frizzy hair, do the Japanese kind.
